Home/Eye tests

More than a vision check. A real health check.

Your eye exam is a fully comprehensive vision assessment and a very relevant health check, tailored to your individual needs.

Why regular eye exams matter

Early detection, before you notice a problem.

Regular eye exams can lead to early detection and treatment of common eye problems such as cataracts, glaucoma and age-related macular degeneration. Assessing your eye health can also help detect conditions which affect the whole body, for example diabetes.

It is important to have regular eye exams even if you do not feel you are having any problems.

A full sight test includes

  1. 01

Discussion of any visual problems you are having, and information taken about your ocular history.

  2. 02

Measuring your vision at distance and near and determining whether any prescription is required. We also monitor accommodation (how well you can focus your eyes).

  3. 03

Checking that your eye muscles are working well together.

  4. 04

A full health check assessing the eyes externally and internally. This may include measuring the pressure in your eyes.

  5. 05

Assessment of your field of vision if required (how well you see centrally and in the periphery).

  6. 06

Ancillary tests, for example colour vision and stereopsis, if required.

30 to 45 minutes

Time for your visual needs to be properly assessed and your eye health screened.
